After leaving the RAF Police, Gary ventured into the motor industry working locally and gaining the necessary experience so move onto his next venture, and 25 years ago Gary started as a one man band working as a mechanic in a single unit work shop. From there he grew his business to what Autocheck Car Care Centre is today.
Gary’s desire in the Motor trade is to offer honesty and integrity, he also prides himself on Customer Service and will always try and find a way to keep his customers on the road.
Gary very much enjoys restoring Vintage Tractors and attend many summer time Vintage shows with his fleet of all aged Tractors.
Director
After spending many years in Management and Marketing Sharon decided to change her career and become housewife and mother whilst supporting her husband Gary at the Garage.
Sharon very much enjoys implementing new ideas for the company whilst dealing with the personnel, marketing and sales side of the company. Her main aim is to make customers feel welcome, informed and satisfied with the service Autocheck provide. She also enjoys decorating, her dog Bessie, gardening also breeding Rabbits and Guinea Pigs for the locals to re-home.
Workshop Manager/Director
Julian is our workshop manager and has a wide range of knowledge on all cars. He has been with the company ever since he did his work experience through Rednock School, he went on to do his apprenticeship with us too. He enjoys restoring vintage tractors and participating in road runs for Charity. Julian also has a skittles team in the Listers League in Dursley.
Senior Mechanic / MOT Tester
Chris is one of our mechanics and MOT testers. Before he joined our team he worked at Nissan and has wide range of knowledge and expertise. Chris enjoys improving the performance of his cars and his trusty Land Rover. In his spare time Chris likes to build radio and remote control gadgets that he has collected over the years.
Senior Co-ordinater
Lauren is our Senior Co-ordinater, she loves to organise everyone and everything. She is willing to help out anyone in need and is always there when you need her. Lauren is a keen Gloucester rugby supporter and quite often loses her voice cheering them on. From a very young age Lauren has enjoyed baking and now uses the mechanics as Guinea pigs!
Qualified MOT Tester
James has recently joined the team back in the Autumn of 2018 James has a background knowledge of cars and has decided to solely be an MOT Tester on Cars and Motor Bikes. James also has an interest in Art and enjoys most weekends painting landscapes from the local surroundings.
Apprentice
Ben is one of our younger team members who is also Gary Milliner’s son. Ben is a very helpful and hard working team player. He has a great passion for Vintage Tractors along with engines and restoration.
