UPDATE Customer Notice regarding Covid-19/Coronavirus
Following on from our last post we are open, strictly following government guidelines.
We are experiencing high call volumes due to people wanting advice on the current situation, so please bear with us if we don’t answer straight away. You are of course, more than welcome to message us with questions or booking requests and we will get back to you ASAP.
The main priority has, and always will be you, the customer and our safety.
Please respect the social distancing guidelines when approaching staff.
Drop-off protocol – this will be as follows:-
- When you arrive with your vehicle in the car park, proceed to Reception and be aware we are only having two customers in at anyone time.
- Please note the distance marking on the floor and advice displays
- Always stay in front of the protected screen to speak to receptionist
- Your Vehicle will be cleaned with disinfectant on the most venerable points of contact ie. steering wheel, handbrake etc…
- On collecting your vehicle this will be the same but in reverse.
MOT tests are a critical part of keeping our roads safe and due to increased demand for this, we have taken measures to increase capacity to carry these out.
We are very adaptable and will continue to be, to keep the local community safe, and to keep essential services and infrastructure moving.
In these difficult times we wish not just our customers but the whole of our community the very best, and hope we can all come out the other side of this with a better understanding of what is really important.

Have you ever seen a brake disc so worn it's just over the width of a CD?
This disc has put in a fair shift, and is now retiring to the scrap pile.

Not disc but seen a Morris 1000 front brake drum worn into two half's by the brake shoes.
Keeping the roads safe is our number 1 priority.
A typical example of what we see in the workshop :-
Visually from the out side of this tyre, it looks in good condition, lots of tread, and a date stamp of 2017.
Upon inspection the inside side wall of the tyre is in this condition.
Luckily the vehicle being booked in for routine maintenance allowed us to spot this, fit new tyres and potentially prevent an accident.
So while it's a great idea for you to check tyres, if you are in any doubt, just drop in and we will check them for you!
A great little tool we have to visually confirm Air conditioning is functioning correctly and efficiently!
Allows us to be confident in repairs, and deal with the Cold hard facts! (no pun intended🤦)
